NOTE:  THIS IS A PARTICIPANT LED GROUP, NO INSTRUCTOR, OR LESSONS!  It is assumed that you are fairly competent with the Nordic pole walking style, and have Nordixx poles.  It is assumed that your fitness is at least medium.  

I am imagining ahead to the 2020 Times Colonist on April 26 and visualizing myself the fittest, lightest, and healthiest I have ever been.  Planning backwards, I know there will be a 12-week TC 10KM training program starting around Feb 1.  Planning backwards from there I have FIVE MONTHS to get fit, build endurance, lose weigh, and make my Nordic pole technique more powerful,  so that I will start the final 12 week training feeling really good!   Yes this is how I think.  Planning backwards and starting now is a great approach if you actually want to create results. About three years ago three other women and I followed this plan; the individual benefits/results each one created was HUGE.  Those who needed to lose weight lost up to 30 pounds!  We got much fitter, made new friends, and had a fun time doing it.  The  TC10 km was icing on the cake!

The ideal person would probably be still working,
maybe a deskworker who wants to relieve neck & shoulder stress,
reduce pant size, straighten posture, relax the brain,
and generate more energy.
