FREE SUMMER NORDIC POLE WALK ADVENTURE
June 24 kick-off party in Sooke. Walk first section of Goose and have lunch.
Sept 16 end-part in Victoria at Glo restaurant (Selkirk Waterway)
This is your passport to summer fun. Get your PASSPORT. Walk with the entire gang to start and finish the Galloping Goose, and then through the summer, pole walk each section at your leisure to fill your passport.

WORK 9-5? THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU!
Wednesday 6:30-8:00pm near Gorge & Tillicum.
March 7 – May 2. No previous experience necessary. Learn to pole walk, get fitter, learn up&down hill techniques, get stronger. Get really good at this fitness technique.
This GORGE HILLS FITNESS COURSE is a favourite.
SPECIFICALLY INVITING THOSE WHO WORK 9-5.
No matter what your fitness level to start, you will follow a program appropriate for you to raise YOUR level of fitness. At the end of this course, you have the option to carry on together as a FREE neighbourhood pole walking club!
Our fun goal for the course is to invite everyone to enter the ESQUIMALT 5KM on April 7 and the TIMESCOLONIST 10KM on April 29, and navigate the course in teams of four… (quad teams). Speed is not the point! FITNESS FUN AND FRIENDS is the point!
I will be teaching everyone how to NORDIC STYLE POLE WALK right from scratch. If you are experienced, I will tweak your style so that you can squeeze every molecule out of this fitness activity.

Note: if you have a headlamp it will be really useful in dark evenings until March 11 when daylight savings returns. (BEST BUY: go to Canadian Tire auto department and find 120 lumen headlamps there… 2 pairs for approx. $25)
NOTE: If you miss a Wednesday evening practise, it is still up to you to follow your program and get your 3 pole walking sessions in each week. Your fitness will grow and soon you will be like the members of the PoleCats who exclaim, “Remember when we thought that route was difficult!” Everyone will receive the official training chart to keep track of progress.
YOU WILL BE FITTER AND STRONGER AT THE END OF THIS COURSE…and have new friends!
There are many benefits to you to join in with this WALK (in addition to saving women’s lives through research)
