THIS COURSE RUNS APRIL 23, 30 AND MAY 7.  COURSE IS FULL!  This is the best class!  Become proficient at the Nordic pole walking technique.  Learn five different “sub” styles:  uphill, downhill, fast, power, support… and how to protect knees.  You will strengthen 3 muscle groups, learn some stretches with poles, and get comprehensive coaching to straighten out your posture and stride.  We meet together in a small group each Wednesday evening, then you walk at least 2 more times on your own during the week for at least 30 minutes.  In addition there are 3 simple exercises to do at home.  At the end of three weeks you will 1) feel confident in your poling technique, 2) feel fitter 3) be stronger in three muscle groups, 4) notice improvements in your posture 5) maybe find pants are fitting a bit better 6) have a fitness habit established!  YOU MUST HAVE TAKEN AN INTRO CLASS WITH LINDA BEFORE THE START OF THIS COURSE.  YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN POLES (and can buy Nordixx brand poles if you want from Linda at the start of the first class.)    Fee of $80 includes 2 bonuses…pick up at first class.

METHOD TWO:  Go out Craigflower Rd which turns into Old Island Hwy and turn left onto the road to Sooke.  Then turn RIGHT at the first drive-way, just before INTEGRA TIRES (472 Island Hwy).  Park any where.  You’ll see the Goose and the cute little “Atkin’s Station”, and the washrooms.
