NORDIC pole walking FEELS GOOD. Strengthen posture/core. De-stress neck/shoulders. Move FAST/SLOW & expect results. CONVENIENT & AFFORDABLE…no sweat! Try it. I bet you'll love it!

Congrats to…

SANDY SHEARER:  who made her doctor take her blood pressure twice, because she couldn’t believe how much it had dropped!  Sandy has been pole walking regularly at least 5 days a week for the last month or so…this caused her blood pressure to return to normal.  Way to go Sandy!  More results to come.

GENEVA RICHARDSON: who wore out her first set of rubber boot tips building up her fitness by walking up and down the safe carpeted corridors of her building! That was her fitness program over  the winter. So inspiring Geneva…you knew what you wanted and you put in the systematic and persistent work to get it.   And now Geneva pole walks anywhere she wants to go outside!  Freedom!

JENNIFER LANGLEY: a 2013 PoleCat who recently rode her bike from Esquimalt, over the Malahat to Mill Bay, across on the ferry, and back home along Lochside Drive….in preparation for her next adventure of riding her bike to Campbell River.  (April 2014)  Newsflash…see accomplished her challenge and rode her bike from Victoria to Quadra Island.  Go Girl!  She commented, “I did it one bunny at a time!”

LYNN BEAK: for being the first Nordixx trained pole walker (and PoleCat)  to complete the TC10km on April 27, 2014.

Congrats to Lynn Beak...1st PoleCat!

JOHN REID: for promoting and starting the Kiwanis Nordics at Kiwanis Village, and changing his life dramatically to boot!

Kiwanis Nordics

SANDRA CARELIUS:  for being the first person to take up and complete the 30-day Pole Walk Every Day challenge in 2013….and stop her back from hurting.

THE 2013 POLECAT TEAM:  for jumping into the Nordic pole walking spring training so enthusiastically, with little idea of the heights it would take them….all the way to Whistler Mountain for the 2013 Osteoporosis Fund Raiser where they ruled the 2010 Olympic 10km cross-country ski course, were top fund-raisers, and voted “friendliest team” on the mountain…. and got really really fit in the process!   I will never forget early in training in  March when the night was dark, cold and driving rain…and they showed up anyway!  That’s a demonstration of determination; I was so impressed.
