My personal goal as a teacher is to coach people until they have mastered the CLASSIC STYLE of Nordic Pole walking, where the upper arm swings to the back, pushing the pole to the back with enough power so that the pole tip gently responds by lifting itself off and replanting, while the hands are relaxed. (See video on landing page.) To do this takes back strength and technique. Back strength and technique take practice and patience.
